@GergelyOrosz What’s also very interesting is this a completely grassroots phenomenon. Like no one from the top is saying you must use it. People just inspire each other because it’s naturally empowering to work with

@anshuc Don’t overthink it. If you’re happy with Codex, there’s parity with ChatGPT Work (I do find running automations in the cloud appealing though). And sometimes products just serve mental modal resets “oh it’s ChatGPT work not ChatGPT”
@dzhng Abstraction is good for humans, it’s probably good for models too.
Seems like models could just adopt some form of documentation? Like each system/file gets a full spec.
Being able to ask about a system and understanding it is different though
Codex tip: If you tend to switch the reasoning level often while you work, for instance between "Medium" and "High", you should reconsider!
Changing the reasoning level invalidates the context cache, costing a lot more tokens as the entire context window must be regenerated. 😬
@jessechand I want to be able to long press on it (like a 3D Touch) then swipe up and down to change it. Should work like a slot machine in its presentation/transition. Please quote tweet this later when you do it :)
one of the most beautiful things about OpenAI is that every employee really has a voice.
i wanted to capture what it feels like to work here, what our mission means to me, and why you should join us. so i made this video with Codex, shared it with the team, and they felt it was worth producing and sharing with the world.
this is our mission. and it’s why i’m here.
@johnennis How? If intelligence becomes free, people are going to choose to interact with it through the frontier labs. You think there’s going to be some new application layer to access models and that these companies don’t win it? They can be agile on product and have infinite resources
We're opening applications for the OpenAI Student Collective—a program for undergraduate Campus Leads bringing AI innovation to their campuses.
Campus Leads will work directly with OpenAI and receive hands-on training, funding, credits, swag, and access to a global community of peers.
What’s left for Codex to feel like proto-AGI? I see 3 main things:
1. 50% as good as JARVIS voice communication (voice v2)
2. A complete built in browser (merge Atlas)
3. Full computer use & remote access of that (Mobile app / merge ChatGPT?)
Things won’t get weird yet still.
