@MKBHD Maybe we overestimate normies? Basically if most people actually don't know what 1080p means, then this change makes sense. It's far simpler, but still provides for people who want a specific resolution.
@TenderLumpling @syberbolt Fair point. I still think there would be an impact to wait times but agree that in the long run it probably won't matter. I remember playing ranked once, when i was very new to fps shooters, not just Paladins, and got flamed(rightfully, I was shit). I would defs play this mode.
@YouTube Honestly my initial reaction was basically me resisting change. But upon reflection I realised that the last time I actually used the dislike button was 2018 rewind. Comments exist to tell people a video is bad, and can deliver nuances a dislike button can't. I think this is ok.
@adolther3d @DanielBGreene I've heard this point before. I'm finally going to read LotR so I can have my own opinion about this(yep that's why, not because it's her favourite book oh no)
@smugdekar @DanielBGreene I need to read those books againπ. I read Ender's game and thought i knew what i was in for...i was way too dumb back then i have no idea why i read the rest of the series, im sure most of it went right over my head.
@syberbolt Good on ya dude. I've never smoked but I'm working on my fitness. One thing that's worked is to make it clear to yourself *why* you're doing it. Then when the going is tough you gotta remember that reason, and push through. If you fail it isn't the end, as long as you try again.
@Awsometime1 @Ericb1980@CortesSteve This means the job market isn't working as capitalism intended. People can't afford to just not take a job because it's a horrible deal. They need money for food and they need it now. Thus businesses csn easily just keep paying shitty wages and people take it.
@Awsometime1 @Ericb1980@CortesSteve If the minimum wage is increased gradually small business will benefit from higher cash flow in the economy and most will keep up. Minmum wage is only a baseline, wage negotiations still happen at higher levels. If you have no money, u have no negotiating power. U take what u get
@FormerHifiBuff@Ericb1980@CortesSteve And the change is not something that needs to happen overnight. A gradual increase is obviously going to give time for everyone to adjust to the new way things work. I'm no exonomics major but even I know it's far more complicated than 'higher wages=less money for small business'
@FormerHifiBuff@Ericb1980@CortesSteve A higher minimum wage is not simply going to cost a business. If people are getting payed more they can afford to spend more, which stimulates an economy and increases cash flow into small businesses as well as big ones. One business increasing wages would not reap those benefits
@meepstone0 @Ericb1980@CortesSteve No. A company with a low profit margin would be one that payed decent wages and then had a small amount left. A business that can only stay out of the red by underpaying staff is failing and should be incentivised to step up its game.
@Patrick05290597 @Ericb1980@CortesSteve 15 USD is a little bit less than the Australian minimum wage at 19.84 AUD. We in the land down under are doing just fine. No one would 'gladly' work for such a shitty wage. Minus edge cases like underage and placement work.
@Ericb1980@CortesSteve Maybe a business that cannot afford to pay decent wages...shouldn't open? In a perfect(and unrealistic) job market, you would be pushed out by businesses that could provide better wages, but people need a job and will take whatever just to get by. A failure of pure capitalism imo
@CJ69429171 @LeslieMac I can't believe the people in these replies. This dude literally said to be optimistic and make the best of a bad situation. How is this hard to understand and what in God's name could possibly offend you about this? Some of you spend way too much time on Twitter...
