I was in Sri Lanka for 5 days, and Iโm absolutely mind-blown ๐คฏ at:
๐ฉ๐ป How safe it feels.
MUCH safer than my own country and big European cities. You can wear anything and nobody stares.
๐จ The hospitality.
I thought Thailand and India have warmest hospitality and then I came here.
Anyone from your cab driver to hotel staff to restaurant servers - people are genuinely warm.
Itโs like they *want* you here. They want you to experience the best in their country.
๐ค Food.
Food is affordable, but also the ingredients are so fresh!
Cafes try to locally source as many ingredients as possible. I didnโt come accorss unnecessary fried or unhealthy dishes.
They take pride in their tropical yield and use them all. Like I had prawn in passionfruit gravy last night!
___
I hope to come again later this year because 5 days donโt feel like enough :)
@sonaljay8 This was there with hotels from some time ago. During the COVID lockdown, they felt the need for locals, but now again, they are discriminating.
@HarshadeSilvaMP@anuradisanayake@1990SuwaSeriya You and your preschooler's arguments. Of course, the government should start services like this, but the attention that you seek is pathetic.
@HarshadeSilvaMP@narendramodi@anuradisanayake Is it built with your money? Didn't you guys do the same during the yahapana era? This is how government works. It is government work, so whoever is in the government gets to open it.
@KishaniAlanki But those are without the current voting systems. In that electoral college-based system it is easy to get seats. For instance, SJB won't get a single seat in Gampaha and colombo with that system
