Back in 2022, Asake was dancing with Nasty Blaq to promote “Omo Ope”… fast forward to today, he doesn’t even need to promote his songs like that anymore ❤️
I found a prayer in Habakkuk 2:3 this morning...
Lord, for the things You have shown me that have not happened yet, teach me how to wait without losing heart. When the vision takes longer than I expected, keep me from assuming You have forgotten me. When I cannot see movement, keep me from creating movement out of panic. Give me the discernment to know the difference between a promise that needs my obedience and a promise that simply needs my patience.
When everyone around me seems to be moving ahead and my own life feels suspended, keep me from measuring Your faithfulness by somebody else’s timeline. Let me remember that something can be taking longer without being denied. And when I am tempted to walk away because I have waited longer than I thought I would, remind me that “though it linger, wait for it.” Lord, teach me to wait without turning the waiting into evidence that You are not working.
You don't need to be a cloistered monk to live a holy life. Being kind to an annoying coworker, holding your tongue when provoked, and doing your dishes without complaining is the martyrdom of everyday life.
Dear God, when I feel drained, anxious, or overwhelmed today, remind me that I don't have to rely on my own limited strength. Fill me with Your peace that surpasses understanding, and let Your vitality flow through my thoughts, words, and actions. Amen.
As this new day begins, I acknowledge that my life comes from You. Before I check my to-do list, react to news, or rush into my responsibilities, I anchor myself in Your presence. You are the source of my life, the spring that never runs dry. Thank you Lord.
Did Jesus Have Other Brothers and Sisters?
One of the most common objections to the Catholic belief in Mary's perpetual virginity is this: "The Bible says Jesus had brothers."
Case closed? Not quite.
Let's examine the evidence carefully.
Several passages mention the "brothers" of Jesus. For example: "Is this not the carpenter's son?... Are not his brothers James, Joseph, Simon and Judas?" (Matthew 13:55). At first glance, it sounds straightforward. But Scripture deserves to be read carefully.
The first question is linguistic. The New Testament was written in Greek, but Jesus and His disciples ordinarily spoke Aramaic. Here's the problem: Aramaic has no separate word for cousin, nephew, or close relative.
The same word (aha) could refer to all of them. This isn't unique to Aramaic. The Old Testament frequently calls relatives "brothers." For example: Abraham calls Lot "brother." (Genesis 13:8). Yet Lot was actually Abraham's nephew. Scripture often uses "brother" in a broader family sense.
Now let's identify these so-called brothers. James and Joseph are listed among Jesus' brothers. But later we are told exactly who their mother is. Matthew 27:56 says: "Mary the mother of James and Joseph."
Notice... Not Mary, the Mother of Jesus. John 19:25 gives even more detail. Standing at the Cross are: Mary, the Mother of Jesus, Mary's sister (or close relative), and Mary the wife of Clopas.
Many scholars identify this Mary as the mother of James and Joseph. So these "brothers" have another mother.
Now ask yourself this question: If Mary had other biological sons... Why, from the Cross, did Jesus entrust His Mother to the Apostle John? (John 19:26-27). In Jewish culture, that would have made little sense. The responsibility would naturally belong to Mary's other sons. The fact that Jesus entrusts her to John strongly suggests she had no other children.
Some point to Matthew 1:25: "Joseph knew her not until she had borne a son." Does "until" imply they later had children? Not necessarily.
In Scripture, "until" often says nothing about what happened afterward. For example: 2 Samuel 6:23 says: "Michal had no child until the day of her death." Obviously she didn't have children after she died. The word "until" does not automatically imply a later change.
Likewise, Jesus is called Mary's "firstborn." Some assume that means there must have been a second child. But in Jewish law, "firstborn" was a legal title given to the first male child who opened the womb - even if he remained an only child. (Exodus 13:2).
The Catholic Church therefore believes exactly what Christians believed for centuries: Mary remained ever-virgin. The "brothers of Jesus" were close relatives, cousins, or members of His extended family not children born to Mary after Jesus.
Ultimately, this isn't just about biology. It points to Mary's unique vocation. She belonged entirely to God's saving plan. Her perpetual virginity reminds us that her whole life was completely consecrated to Christ.
Scripture, when read in its historical, linguistic, and cultural context, beautifully supports what the Church has always believed. Sometimes the difficulty isn't what the Bible says. It's assuming modern English meanings for ancient Semitic expressions.
The Bible deserves careful reading. The deeper you study it, the more its richness and the wisdom of the Church's interpretation comes into view.

What does the little Sign of the Cross right before the Gospel is read mean?
When the minister says, "A reading from the holy Gospel according to ..."
Everyone uses their thumb to trace three tiny crosses. One on their forehead, one on their lips, and one over their heart. While doing this, Catholics silently pray a variation of this phrase:
"May the Lord be in my mind, on my lips, and in my heart."
Forehead: "May I understand and meditate on your Word."
Lips: "May I speak your Word and share it with others."
Heart: "May I love, cherish, and live your Word in my daily life."
Once you learn how to shop directly from China, E.g Temù or shien your wardrobe changes completely. Call me cheap I don't care I ain't rich, I don't do fraud.😭
It's knowing what to search for.
Here's my style after making plenty of mistakes.
1. T-shirts:
Skip 100% polyester unless you're buying gym wear.
Instead, search:
• 100% Cotton
• Combed Cotton
• Heavyweight Cotton
• 240-300 GSM Cotton
• Premium Cotton
• Mercerized Cotton
The heavier the GSM, the thicker and more premium the shirt usually feels.
2. Jeans:
Denim Jeans
Temu is surprisingly good for denim if you know what to search.
Search:
• Denim Jeans
• Cotton Denim
• Raw Denim
• Selvedge Denim (if available)
• 98% Cotton + 2% Elastane
• 99% Cotton
Avoid jeans with high polyester content. The more cotton, the better they'll age and feel.
3. Body-hug clothing:
Search:
• Ribbed Knit
• Modal
• Viscose Blend
• Cotton-Spandex Blend
They hold their shape much better than cheap polyester.
4. Hoodies
Search:
• 400 GSM
• French Terry
• Cotton Fleece
• Heavyweight Hoodie
5. Chains
Search:
• 316L Stainless Steel
• Titanium Steel
• PVD Gold Plated
• Vacuum Plated
These are far more resistant to fading than ordinary fashion jewelry.
6. Earrings
Search:
• 925 Sterling Silver
• 316L Stainless Steel
• Hypoallergenic
• Moissanite (if you're buying stones)
7. Scarves
Search:
• Mulberry Silk
• Silk Blend
• Cashmere Blend
• Wool Blend
• Viscose
Avoid the shiny, thin polyester scarves if you're after a premium look.
8. Loafers
Search:
• Genuine Leather
• Cow Leather
• Full Grain Leather (rare but worth looking for)
• Rubber Outsole
9. Sneakers
Search:
• Rubber Outsole
• EVA Midsole
• Breathable Mesh

Pictures lie a lot
The description usually tells the truth.
Here's how I shop:
1. Read the material composition before anything else.
2. Sort by Most Orders or Best Selling, not cheapest.
3. Only buy products with lots of reviews or pictures or even better when a Nigerian has purchased it before they always tell the truth.
4. Read the 1-star reviews first. They'll tell you what the seller won't.
5. Look at customer photos, not the product photos.
6. Check the weight of the product. Better quality clothing is often heavier.
7. Read the size chart. Don't assume your Nigerian size matches.
8. If the title has words like "luxury," "premium," or "designer" but the material is 100% polyester, not everything but still move on.
Your best friend isn't the product picture.
It's the material, the reviews, and the customer photos.
That's how you separate the gems from the junk.
I hope this help.
Things are to expensive for a country this poor.
