Today is the Independence Day of Ukraine.
The new European Parliament continues to support Ukraine's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity. Members have reaffirmed that commitment last month in a resolution.

In my first year in office, I protected more lands and waters than any American President since John F. Kennedy.
Since then, my Administration has fought hard to build on that progress with a goal of preserving at least 30% of American lands and waters for generations to come.
The Ukrainian flag is a symbol of freedom and resistance against aggression.
And on the occasion of 24 August - Independence Day of Ukraine, we are illuminating our headquarters in Brussels.
Europe will be at 🇺🇦 side for every single day of the war, and for every single day thereafter.
Today, as the people of Ukraine mark their Independence Day, let it be clear:
When Russia’s senseless war began, Ukraine was a free country.
Today, it is still a free country.
And the war will end with Ukraine remaining a free, sovereign, and independent country.
Today Ukraine marks its Independence Day.
More than 900 days have passed since Russia’s full scale invasion.
Until Russia’s guns fall silent, we won’t be silent.

Ukraine’s flag flies over the memorials of those lost during Russia's brutal war. It represents the courage and sacrifice of those lost in years of battle, and the pride and unity of the Ukrainian people who continue to fight to write their own futures. Slava Ukraini.
In the two and a half years of full-scale war, Russia has launched about 10,000 missiles of various types and more than 33,000 glide bombs at Ukraine. Stopping attacks on our cities can be achieved by targeting the carriers of this weaponry—Russian aircraft stationer at military airfields.
Yesterday, the first successful combat use of our new weapon—the Ukrainian long-range rocket drone "Palianytsia"—took place. It was designed domestically to destroy the enemy's offensive potential.
The number of rocket drones production will grow just like our long-range strike drones production did, whose efficiency we see almost daily.

Europe will always be at Ukraine’s side, because Ukraine is Europe.
Your freedom is our freedom.
Your security is our security.
We've been standing with you since day one. And we'll continue to do so, for as long as it takes.
I'm wishing our friends a proud Independence Day.
Tonight, on the eve of Ukraine’s Independence Day, our building shines in the colours of the Ukrainian flag.
Honouring the unbreakable spirit and bravery of our Ukrainian friends.
Ukraine will prevail in this war and take its place in our European family.
Slava Ukraini!
Ukrainian brave warriors are keeping guard over freedom and fighting against russian terror.
We are grateful to everyone who supports Ukraine and our defenders!
Ukraine will win!
Ukraine. Our land. Given by God. Kissed by the sun. Rocked by the winds. Tempered by fire. Defended by its sons and daughters.
It cannot be mistaken for anything else.
It can never be given away to anyone.
Happy Independence Day of Ukraine!
Tonight, @KamalaHarris showed the world what I have known to be true. She is ready on day one to be President and represents the best of America. Let’s get to work.
Hosted @SecDef Lloyd Austin ahead of the next Ramstein meeting.
We focused on the battlefield developments: our defense, perspectives, and support. We also discussed Ukraine’s actions in the Black Sea and the defense of our export corridor.
Freedom of navigation is a fundamental principle for the world, and Ukraine has proven it can secure it and drive the aggressor away. I am grateful to the U.S. for its consistent leadership in supporting Ukraine.
Both Putin and Hamas are fighting to wipe a neighboring democracy off the map.
America cannot, and will not, let that happen. For our own national security interests—and for the good of the entire world.
