अपनी आखिरी सांस तक अंग्रेज़ों से लड़ने वाले, अपनी आखिरी सांस तक भारत की आज़ादी के लिए संघर्ष करने वाले महान स्वतंत्रता सेनानी के किरदार पर यूपी के मुख्यमंत्री ने कुंठा का प्रदर्शन किया है। सवाल यह नहीं है कि उस मुख्यमंत्री ने ऐसा किया है, विडंबना यह है कि उस मुख्यमंत्री के सामने बैठे लोग जहालत के प्रदर्शन पर तालियाँ पीट रहे थे। जिस ‘वीर’ ने अंग्रेज़ों से ‘वज़ीफा’ लिया वही ‘वीर’ विभाजन का भी पैरोकार था, अब ऐसे ‘वीरों’ को ‘आदर्श’ मानने वाले जौहर को कहाँ बर्दाश्त करेंगे।
