@EnergyCredit1 Although that is very true.
I live downtown and know so many people in my neighborhood(mainly because of my dog)
It is all acquaintances
Whereas in the suburbs
People have real meaningful relationships with their neighbors
@Captain_C2@alisha_hg So you don't really understand how it is to live downtown. Which is obvious by your posts.
Again, nothing wrong with that. You enjoy where you live. That's a good thing.
@Captain_C2@alisha_hg Have you ever lived downtown? I shop almost every single day for our dinner
I spend less than 10mins in the grocery every day as I walk home from work.
I don't think you understand how living downtown works at all..
@Ajarncom When your dog passes....it's the little things that hit you.
If my banana got a bit too ripe, I'd always give it to my dog.
So throwing a too ripe banana away now always gets me......
@AaronGogley@foolrushingin@theistinthought Again I don't think you understand living in a city.
It is far easier to walk to do an errand than get in your car to do it.
I have a car, I drive it about 3,000km/yr and that's mostly picking my wife up at work.
It's just different lifestyles....
No one is right or wrong
@LeslieRodr47139 That is just false. Depending on where you work. Most Americans have at least 4 weeks holiday, more Depending on how long you worked there.
One thing is taking more than 1 week at a time was frowned upon, but that has changed also
@Ajarncom I met my wife in Phuket
We seriously used to go until 6-7am
22 years later we are up walking the streets of Bangkok at 6am on holiday
We got old..... 555
@r0bertj@Ajarncom Not my Thai(or her Mom or sister) or even my BIL's
All the girls are OCD
My wife packs 1 month before a trip.
My BIL's
We tell them we need something fixed.....they are there at 5am the next morning
Whole family of OCD's. :)
@nicknow@RudeOnion I don't even understand your post. Honestly
I've lived in downtowns all my life. Going to the grocery store daily is not even a thought. You just do it.
The furthest walk I've had to grocery store is about 5mins. In Hoboken NJ.
@AaronGogley@theistinthought I walk to and from work daily 12mins each way
I walk about 1hr to 1hr30mins each day for exercise on the seawall most days.
I absolutely have Dr appointments/shopping, etc
I don't think you are very aware of living in a downtown area
All of that is just daily life.
@AaronGogley@theistinthought What do you mean improbable? I've lived downtown for 35 years.
3-4-5 or however many 15 min walks is completely probable
I do it almost daily
