Once upon a time if you took a dollar you weren’t supposed and got caught you couldn’t ever play college sports again. NOW you can get drafted, make millions playing in Europe, take two-way contracts in the NBA, play in the G League, and if all that doesn’t work out - you can just decide to go play college basketball.

Hace dos décadas se realizó el traspaso más grande de la historia NBA. Cinco equipos para cambiar 13 jugadores. Y en esa movida, Antoine Walker llegó a Miami Heat junto a... Jason Williams.
LINSANITY RETURNS.
In partnership with Jeremy Lin, we are honored to introduce his first-ever Hardwood Classics New York Knicks Swingman Jersey. It was important to Lin to release this meaningful, symbolic uniform during Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month and Mental Health Awareness Month.
Before @jlin7 became a symbol of perseverance and inspiration for fans around the world, he had to overcome seemingly insurmountable odds. From sleeping on the couches of friends and family, to sparking a national craze, the Asian American’s meteoric rise took the NBA by storm.
Ahead of the birth of Linsanity on February 4th, 2012, Lin said his agent called him before the game and told him it might be his last in the NBA if he didn’t play well. Two nights later, Lin was moved into New York’s starting lineup.
While NBA stars and teams underestimated him, Lin erupted, averaged 20.9 points and 8.4 assists per game in February, leading the Knicks to 10 wins in a 13-game stretch. Madison Square Garden suddenly became packed every night.
The rise of Linsanity gave Asian fans around the globe a sense of representation and pride. But, the phenomenon also highlighted some deep cultural issues in sports.
“As I went through Linsanity ... I started to see the world for what it is, which is a very broken world with a lot of injustice, with a lot of racism and a lot of stereotyping. And I started to realize, this is not something I should be running from. This is something that I need to be stepping into.” - Jeremy Lin via The Ringer
