@Otto_English I’m favouring Tugendhat or Atkins. Hunt wouldn’t be a bad temporary choice to get through a couple of years and calm things down a bit.

And although I get a vote, I’d rather I didn’t. I think the choice should be down to the parliamentary party.

As well as seeming mostly capable and thoughtful, so many of the cabinet are actually recognisable. For the last few PMs, the abandonment of decency has led to a dearth of talent. “Who? What? Why?” has been the main response.
