Throughout this course I have learned about several valuable programs that I can utilize with students in the age group I teach. In the future plan to teach them how to use Piktochart and Powtoon to complete projects. Thank you for introducing me !

My students only have access to laptops which are shared amongst the two 2nd grade classes. My school has a large ESOL population so for many of my students, my class is the first and only interaction that get with technology besides cell phones.

After reading about cyberbullying, I have thoroughly went over my son's cell phone and have changed a few things to help make sure he is protected. I also reminded him what cyberbullying is and how it hurts others.
Most students today have been using mobile devices like tablets and smartphones to play and learn since they could crawl. So it only seems logical to align today's classrooms with the way that your students want and are used to learning. @SF_EdTechGuy#EDUC615FA17B

Digital Literacy is the ability to use information and communication technologies to find, evaluate, create, and communicate information, requiring both cognitive and technical skills.

One very engaging way to integrate technology into lessons is through polls and surveys to quiz students. During my internship, one school I was at used ACTIVexpression for this. The students posted their answers through their own voting device

One benefit of being with the younger students is for most, they are just beginning to understand the fundamentals of using technology appropriately and safely.
