On July 22, 1862, President Abraham Lincoln informed his cabinet that he planned to issue a proclamation freeing slaves in the Confederate states. He finally did so on September 22, 1862, with the proclamation not freeing those slaves held in the North. Slavery was finally abolished with ratification of the 13th Amendment in late 1865.

@Rangers__Nation I now have 2.5+ hrs extra free time each time the Rangers play. Now & forever. In the long run, I am better off mentally, emotionally, financially, etc. I wish the team luck. I now don't watch MLB or the NBA. Watching fewer NFL & college FB games. More time in the gym.

@mrddmia Trump has had a lot of picks that turn out to be problematic. His position on handling illegal immigration is what got him elected. So the position Mullin was put into is critical. Evidently he was the wrong person. Kinda like Jeff Sessions.
