I'm sure many Christian noted with irony the timing of this news from Argentina - only days away from the 'Slaughter of the Innocents' was marked in churches globally: https://t.co/c3HNXj6JEJ
Rescued from captivity, these two chimpanzee brothers were separated to be treated at two different locations. After they recovered, they were reunited..
The reaction is priceless.. 🥺
@LozzaFox But surveillance cameras are todays replacement for parental guidance. Without parents teaching kids right from wrong, society depends on cameras to deter them from bad behaviour.
In answer to the increasingly common “wE dOnT nEeD cHuRch” claims of some Protestants:
We do. We need Church for:
Community - “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
Learning - we cannot and should not interpret the Scriptures on our own. That way leads to error and heresy. That is why we have teachers, servant-leaders in the faith. The Holy Spirit works through his Church.
Christ - “take, eat; this is My body” we receive the Most Blessed Sacrament at the altar in the Lord’s house.
Yes, we can pray anywhere, and yes, we are the Church. That is why we must come together as a body - his body on earth - in praise and worship of him.
Yes, God is omnipresent. But he is especially, truly, really and substantially present in the Eucharist. We are closest to Christ when we receive his body and blood.
We can 𝒅𝒐 church anywhere, we can 𝒃𝒆 church anywhere, we 𝒂𝒓𝒆 the church. But is it too much to ask for us to 𝒈𝒐 to church for an hour a week, also?
@HansFiene To get a flame-grilled burger like Burger King you’d have to pay $10. And there is NO substitute for the flavour of flame-grilling. Why else to people have BBQs and not just go to McDonalds for some greasy tasteless muck?
