Any concept of holiness that does not take seriously the practice and development of humility will lead us to a place that is anything but holy. If we are not moving toward the picture of Jesus in Philippians 2, we are not walking in holiness of heart and life.
The fact that we are right becomes meaningless if we do not bear the fruit of the Spirit; achievement and success cannot substitute for Christlike character. What we know and do will always be empty if it does not flow from who we are.
God will not lead you to any place He has not gone to before you.
"It is the Lord who goes before you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or abandon you. Do not fear or be dismayed." Deuteronomy 31:8
On National Doctors' Day, I give thanks for all the physicians (and nurses, technicians, assistants, chaplains, et al) who are running toward the danger of the coronavirus to save lives and protect all of us. We pray for your strength, health and sanity in this grave situation.
