In Ephesians 3:2, the NRSV translates Paul as saying he has a “commission of God’s grace.” Which I never got, but whatever.
The Common English Bible calls it “the responsibility to distribute God’s Grace.”
Isn’t that the loveliest thing?
I’m a pastor; thoughts and prayers are literally what I do for a living. You know what I can’t do? Pass universal background checks and ban military-grade weapons. We are LITERALLY the only country in the world where this happens.

Friends, please try to not comment on how old you think someone is, especially if they’re serving you in some professional role. Odds are, you’re probably wrong. And trust me, they’re sick of hearing it. Signed, a 31yo pastor who was told she looks like a middle schooler today.
Me: tweets a thing taught in every mainline seminary 101 class.
Lay people: whoa!!! Why didn’t someone tell me?!?!? This changes everything!!! 🤯
Mainline clergy: yawn. We already knew this.
Me: but my dudes, apparently you didn’t tell anybody.
"Mr. Mulvaney, like Mr. Kupperman, finds himself caught in that division, trapped between the commands of two of its co-equal branches—with one of those branches threatening him with contempt." https://t.co/ffx4WyGoQX
Late Night Breaking: Acting WH Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney has filed a motion to intervene in Charles Kupperman's lawsuit in DC federal court, now asking the court to decide if he must comply with a House subpoena to testify as part of the impeachment inquiry. @CourthouseNews
@danabgirl We all did our best to name some of the more difficult moments, especially in the David and Bathsheba conversation.
I admit some mixed feelings about this thread and thanks for the reminder [was just trying to stay sane frankly but still]
