If your local pastor has served faithfully and blessed you then please tell him. Especially if he’s truly humble as he won’t be constantly baiting people for such encouraging words.
In such cases, encouragement can be rare and will be really strengthening for him.
It’s strange to me that everything event is seen as some kind of litmus for Christianity.
- 2016 was test
- COVID was a test
- BLM was a test
- The election was a test
- The latest controversy is the test
Seems like we are judging everyone on everything except the Gospel.
I’m really tired of people highjacking the name of Christ for their progressive and political theologies.
It’s getting tiresome and leading people straight to hell.

Today is my 44th rebirthday! On this day in 1981, after 2 years of investigating the evidence, I reached my verdict in the case for Christ: He is the unique Son of God. I repented of my sin, received His free gift of forgiveness & eternal life, & was adopted as a child of God forever (John 1:12). My life has been radically transformed as a result! All glory to God!
I’ve seen politics turn Christians who would normally be kind, reasonable, and generous people into rage machines that spew Bible verses like they are talking points to fit their agenda, rather than the words that bring people to Christ.
I truly have no idea what the “No Kings” protestors believe they accomplished by protesting today.
Other than feeling like you’re apart of a wider community that believes the same things you do.
Just more echo chamber nonsense.
