Muslim Woman Attacked, Hijab Ripped Off And Face Slashed In Dublin, Ireland

A young Somali Muslim woman was hospitalised after an unprovoked attack on O’Connell Street, Dublin, where a white female suspect in her 40s or 50s tore off her Hijab and slashed her face.

The brutal attack occurred on Friday 5th June 2026.

According to S2J News, the young Muslim woman was walking on O’Connell Street, Dublin when she was suddenly targeted. She noticed a white female suspect, estimated to be in her 40s, staring at her and shouting profanities.

The confrontation rapidly escalated into a physical attack. The perpetrator reportedly tore the victim’s Hijab from her head and slashed her across the face.

A male bystander rushed to the victim’s aid, intervening to stop the assault and immediately calling emergency services. Responding Gardaí (Irish police) and emergency medical personnel arrived at the scene, where the victim was treated for severe facial lacerations before being rushed to a nearby hospital.

A suspect was successfully identified and apprehended by law enforcement. The suspect was arrested and remains in Garda custody as detectives continue their inquiries.

2- Israeli bombing targeted a tailoring tent in front of Al-Razi School in Nuseirat Camp in the central Gaza Strip, killing Saleh Ramadan Khalifa (PHOTO1) and injuring others.

3- An Israeli airstrike targeted the roof of Al-Habil family building near Abu Iskandar Roundabout in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, north of Gaza City, killing nurse Mohammed Al-Habil and his son and injuring others. (video)

4- Little Ryan Bahaa Abu Al-Ajin was “arrested” with his father by the Israeli army yesterday in the Wadi al-Salqa area, east of Deir al-Balah, and both were assaulted while in Israeli army captivity.

The Israeli army released Ryan and his father onto Salah al-Din Road. His father was injured and suffering from the assault.
