The most concerning part about that performance was it was straight from the training ground. Utd had no plan B, they were so easily suffocated in midfield that they had to knock the ball long out wide which Liverpool knew they would do. Ten Hag is responsible for that and if he isn’t, what is he responsible for?

I know his critics will disagree and I accept that it’s probably best for McTominay himself to move on but imo Utd will miss him. So many people focus on what he can’t do rather than what he can do. He’s never let Utd down on or off the field, never cost the club a penny and repeatedly chipped in with vital goals. I want Ugarte but in an ideal world for me, we could keep McTominay and get him anyway.

A significant reason a number of people want McTominay (or any Utd player they’re bored with) to be sold, is so they can replace them with their Football Manager favorites as their shiny new toy. A day after they’re signed, they want another new toy. 3 shit games later, they will want them out. I swear, some people care more about the transfer window than the actual football.
