@susannareid100 As a counsellor to young people, I am not surprised by anything she says. Yes, most schools do have help of some sort. But so many young people do not want to see the school counsellor. The amount of young people on anti-depressants is rising as that is all they can get
@BACP@UK_Counsellors@SurvivingWk @pcu_union You mean you had not really considered this as a possible outcome of your plan? If you had not, it shows how flawed the whole thing is.
A level and some GCSE results are imminent. It can be a very stressful time. Here are my thoughts on how to make it as easy as possible.

@sally_Therapist Sadly, employers have been led to believe that BACP are the gold standard. it is time the @prof_standards made a lot more noise as no-one knows about them
Thank you to @WetherbySenior and @QueensCollegeW1 for the opportunity to discuss #mentalhealth at #exam time. The #parents came along later to ask questions about what they could be doing at home to ensure their children are mentally ready for exam season.
It is time the #NHS started using #therapists from a wider field of modalities to allow more of us to help those in need. Yes, it will be more expensive. But the NHS needs more funding. There is no suitable reason to put young people at such risk. https://t.co/7n4eEVuRpF
