@narindertweets I wonder if it was a Tory chancellor would you be so outspoken? I doubt it. Reeves shafted everyone so she could have a bit more to play with in her pocket and lied about it. Deserves every grilling she gets and the rest.
@narindertweets@spursmichael@UKLabour This is actually hilarious how you’re happy to out how bad of a landlord you are. Typical of the left though….there is always someone else to blame.
@Jinxful_@_Moti_x@DobbyClub06 The Green Party have found a way to target people’s emotions by making them feel like their wealth has somehow been stolen by the rich. When they should be focusing on bringing growth to raise the masses up, they’d rather knock the people at the top down.
@willglloyd And yet nobody feels better off, the country is in a worse state and everyone wants them out. Not sure this stat shows anything more than their manifesto was full of useless promises.
@jdpoc@Peter_e73 Can we just acknowledge that digital ID is not a small measure that should be swept up under “immigration control” but is clearly about general control of the public. This isn’t a new idea and so should clearly have been put to the electorate clearly in the manifesto.
@implausibleblog When will people wake up and realise that you can’t tax your way to growth. Taxes and regulation have been on the increase in the last 10 years and young people are worse off than they’ve ever been. More taxes are not the answer.
Great points well made. This is a seriously dangerous power grab all in the name of “immigration control”. Congratulations everyone, we’ve all been played.
When it comes to having a massive surveillance state with a central database that links everything up and can shut you down, make your decision based upon your least favourite politicians having control over it.
Maybe you love Keir Starmer; how do you feel about Nigel Farrage having the keys to your digital ID? Or how would you feel in 10 years from now, the party you didn’t vote for decides that they are going to switch off your banking access because something you are doing or not doing conflicts with their latest policy.
Once this cat is out of the bag, it’s not going back in. Governments almost NEVER concede power once they have it.
My view, smaller government with fewer powers is the way to freedom and prosperity. I think it’s a terrible idea to give government a master key to your entire life… which is how a digital ID can be used.
Do we really believe that ring fencing every UK citizen inside a digital ID is going to stop people arriving into the country on boats? ``
