@adam_bobowski nothing at the moment - just brainstorming. it requires real investigation first to select the right specialized model(s) and then host it/them.
@adam_bobowski Now that you have a factory. How much faster and cheaper can you make an app or system? And what role do you keep (assuming you are not the product maker)?
@adam_bobowski This app can do everything Excel can do -and many things Excel can't, such as Monte Carlo simulations-thanks to the power of Python. Stario + Datastar make it easy to build and use (everything is fast). This is part of the "beyond spreadsheet" era.
@adam_bobowski On top of that, calculations happen only once on the backend, instead of being duplicated between the frontend and backend as in a SPA => single source of truth.
@adam_bobowski And I think this is a great use case for Stario because it leverages the (scientific) power of Python, allowing you to do things that you cannot (or can hardly) do in Excel, such as Monte Carlo siulations, while at the same time providing a real-time interface thanks to Datastar.
@willmcgugan In addition to volunteer sponsorship (which is unlikely), it would be nice to enforce a small fee (set by the maintainer) after a certain number of downloads. The fee could be insignificant for each developer, but becomes meaningful when summed across many users.
Finance is boring – just number-crunching for money, right? Not quite. If you can see it as a tool for longevity and impact, it transforms. It becomes your unfair advantage, and you might even end up liking it for that reason. #Finance#Longevity#Tool
