EVIL DEAD BURN absolutely slaps.
This movie is a blood-soaked blast that had me locked in from the first frame. The pacing is relentless, the gore is nasty, and the energy never lets up.
Sébastien Vaniček leaves his mark on this fan-favorite franchise by delivering an Evil Dead movie that honors what came before while still feeling visually distinct. It has the chaos, carnage, and horror fans expect, but the way he stages certain shots and sequences gives the film its own identity.
The editing is fantastic, with sharp jump cuts, perfectly timed moments, and a rhythm that makes the movie feel alive. The stunt work is also incredibly impressive, especially during some of the film’s wild oners.
Overall, EVIL DEAD BURN is an immensely enjoyable horror ride and a worthy new entry in one of horror’s most beloved franchises.

The fifth and Final season of The Bear is masterful. A return to the formula that made us fall in love with this show in the first place.
Every second counts during this last service, and you can tell that (like the characters) the entire cast and crew came together to deliver one last pulse-pounding, heart-healing season of television that brings everything to a satisfying and earned conclusion.
Christopher Storer takes the story in a bold direction for season 5, as the show leans heavily on the talent of its brilliant ensemble to land their characters' arcs. It's a beautiful inversion of season 1, as we get to see all the growth and character development we saw these people go through applied in real time at their absolute lowest point.
Cinematographer Andrew Wehde uses anamorphic lenses, vibrant colors, and movie magic to make this season the best-looking season of the series. Elevating the visual language to a cinematic level that pushes the boundaries of what we expect a TV show to look like. Almost every scene is a work of art, from the opening scene's soft shades of green to the dark, ambient lighting of the rainstorm.
Honestly, the entire crew deserves praise for the impressive collaborative effort it took to make this concept work. The majority of the season takes place in a horrendous rain storm, and everything from the practical rain effects, sound design, and lighting is flawless. On paper, this concept shouldn't work and feel satisfying, but it absolutely does.
The pacing is as close to perfect as you can possibly get. The editors deserve a lot of credit because each episode feels like a piece to the same puzzle, and the scenes move with such vicious fluidity that you feel locked in from the beginning of the service to the end of the season.
My review for this season will be long because I feel it deserves the respect of a proper breakdown. My general thoughts after my first viewing are that this is the perfect ending to one of my favorite shows of all time. The show that used food, family and fast pacing to tell a story about trauma and mental health (especially Men's mental health), ends with the perfect balance of bitter, savory and sweet.
Milly Alcock commands the screen as Kara Zor-El! The strongest part of the film is the performance from its star. I loved how she was able to capture all the tragic nuance of Kara, while having still preserving her kind soul.
I loved the use of practical sets and effects, it added a lot to the overall style of the film. The film has some scene stealers, but my favorite supporting character is David Krumholtz’ Zor-El. He delivers a small but powerful monologue.
There is a lot that I loved and a lot that I didn’t. I feel like the film needs to let the first act breathe and I would have loved to spend more time on Krypton.
Overall, I think this will be an enjoyable summer popcorn film.

First look at Jessica Cruz Green Lantern in “My Adventures With Green Lantern”!
“My Adventures with Superman” is heavily influenced by Shonen anime like Dragon Ball, but Green Lantern looks to take design influence from Sailor Moon, perhaps making it a “Magical Girl” series!
DISCLOSURE DAY is a masterful sci-fi thriller that tackles timeless high-concept themes that feel eerily relevant today.
This is Spielberg firing on all cylinders. His passion for the material is evident in every frame, crafting a love letter to the conspiracy thrillers of the 1970s that gradually evolves into a compelling modern sci-fi meditation.
This is the kind of film filled with the cinematic magic that reminds us why we go to the movies. A beautifully crafted story packed with striking visuals and memorable set pieces that challenge us emotionally as much as intellectually.
THE PUNISHER: ONE LAST KILL is raw, both emotionally and physically. The action sequences are a brutal ballet elevated by engaging cinematography and sharp editing that make the special a visual thrill from start to finish.
Jon Bernthal takes Frank Castle into new territory, even if some of the character beats feel familiar. While the ending clearly sets the stage for a new chapter, the special struggles to fully bridge the gap between Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 and Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

You can’t talk about the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen with native New Yorker The MontyVerse!
Happy to stop by @bitesizebreak and offer my many thoughts on Daredevil: Born Again season 2.
DAREDEVIL: Born Again Season 2 is bigger, bolder, and more compelling than Season 1 in every respect.
The series marks a true return for the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, diving straight into the ongoing war between Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk with unwavering momentum.
This season is relentless: breakneck pace, incisive action, and punishing brutality. Every fight feels visceral, authentic, and justified, with sharp focus on practical stunt work and cinematic storytelling.
What really stands out is the care given to the world around them. The supporting cast isn’t just along for the ride this time. Every character feels essential, and in a season where the soul of New York is at stake in a war between Daredevil and Kingpin, it is nice to see the toll that takes on both sides.
On a technical level, the show excels throughout. The Newton Brothers craft a haunting, layered score that deepens familiar themes and ventures into new territory. The visual language continues to develop through kinetic camera movement, evocative lighting, and framing choices that create a unique style and help to define certain characters.
This is the Daredevil fans have been waiting for, one that fully embraces its past while forging something new.

One Piece: Into the Grand Line proves that season 1 was more than just lightning in a bottle.
A joyful, heartfelt adventure that captures the wonder of Eiichiro Oda’s world
This second season builds on and expands everything that worked in the first, achieving remarkable results while maintaining the spirit and wonder of Eiichiro Oda's work.
The cast is even more dialed in, with Mackenyu and Jacob Romero Gibson being huge standouts this time around. Iñaki Godoy is a one-in-a-million find; he embodies all of the best aspects of Monkey D. Luffy, with his joy being particularly infectious.
In addition to the returning players, the casting is pretty spectacular overall. The new cast additions are absolutely delightful; Lera Abova is a scene stealer as the mysterious 'Miss All Sunday,' while Mikaela Hoover will most definitely steal your heart as Tony Tony Chopper.
One Piece: Into The Grand Line never loses sight of the story’s core values: Found Family and following your dreams, which continue to get tested with every new location the Straw Hats visit.
The production design is even more impressive this time around, as the combination of practical sets and real-world locations adds a lot of charm to the series. Making the fantastical feel tangible.
To complement the visuals, @SonyaBelousova deserves all her flowers because the score for season two builds upon the amazing themes of season one while adding fantastic new music and motifs for new characters.
The most impressive feat of this season is proving that this show can adapt and move forward. It can return for many more seasons, offering us a new perspective on a beloved story.

‘WONDER MAN’ is a beautiful journey about friendship, chasing your dreams and the power of filmmaking.
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is instantly lovable as Simon Williams. You can’t help but fall for his character and root for him as the series progresses.
The dynamic between Simon and Sir Ben Kingsley’s Trevor Slattery was surprisingly endearing. Their chemistry is the beating heart of the series.
WONDER MAN is one of Marvel Television’s best. A series that feels complete with a story that makes you remember why you love super hero movies.
