The big, noticeable difference it made…. When I flip the preamp on you can’t hear it. It had a hum before. Now it’s quiet. You can hear the mix is better now too.
I got a pair of chips in the mail today. I took apart the tube preamp for my turntable, pulled two chips off the main board, and installed the new ones. It actually works with the new chips installed. I managed to upgrade it without breaking anything.
The church gave me a pastor appreciation month gift yesterday. A large part of it will be going towards bills, but a portion (combined with a gift card and some apple cash) just bought a new office turntable for me. I am super excited. Spent a long time researching/planning.
Picked a bang-for-your-buck player. Got something that will be a huge upgrade for a good price. Also ordered new vacuum tubes for my preamp and a couple of chips to upgrade another piece of equipment. Not a terribly expensive upgrade overall, but it should be dramatic.
@andrew_wiggen@NevinLawrence I don’t know you, but apparently we’re mutuals with Andrew. I’ve clogged the toilet pretty bad before… but never to the point that it necessitated deploying the hacksaw.
I’ll be praying for you and I hope you feel better soon.
I picked up a used book the other day from an author who I have liked in the past, but that I am kinda leery of recently...
Started reading it last night and poked right at the heart of several things I have been wrestling with for a while. A mix of personal and theological.
I dunno... I wish God would make things easier. A set of clear instructions or directions would be helpful. Last night i did realize maybe I have been neglecting the 5 priorities list I wrote out and that's a mistake...
