It’s been a year since our children spoke up, went to Parliament and delivered a letter to Downing Street.
They didn’t get a reply.
The stink in our town is worse than ever.
Classrooms smell, the kids don't want to play out and it's affecting the mental health of so many people.
This is their message to the Prime Minister.

Many are heading off to University Open Days at the moment here's a few starters on costs , marketing and more (feel free to add yours)...
1) If a big name Professor is speaking - ask 'what are your contact hours with undergraduates' some only do research and are just wheeled out for the day to be in the shop window.
2) Accommodation costs are more important these days. Student maintenance loans have not kept up with inflation (Eng) and most students don't get the full loan (parents are expected to fill some of the gap). So while tuition fees are standard, what really counts if ongoing cost of living.
3) If they tell you about well-known alumni, check what course they did, some spread their famous former students reps widely.
4) Find out what's actually taught and how its taught. If it's a practical course make sure you see the labs and the studios and ask what access you'll have.
Overall, don't be afraid to ask questions. This isn't school, it's a sales pitch. Speak to existing students on the course if you can, for an honest appraisal.

Good question, and very un-researched. This🧵is a collection of the leads I’ve come across in the last few years. Please share your stories if you know more... #DDay80
So, there’s enough money to introduce National Service but not enough to fund Special Needs. So unfortunate that helping those that need it most doesn’t make as good headlines for the Tories.

“The School Cuts website lays bare the impact of the government’s underfunding of education. They must make it a priority at the spring budget, giving schools and colleges the investment they urgently need”: my comments on behalf of @ASCL_UK: https://t.co/KSFRkSYVDj
If you come across a sheep lying on its back with its legs up, it is 'cast'. Please be so kind as to tip/roll it back over; if left like this they can die as they cannot get up. Please be kind enough to share.
