🚨🔵 EXCLUSIVE: Former Chelsea FC owner Roman Abramovich is reportedly fighting to reclaim his assets across Europe, including the Premier League club.
According to reports, Abramovich could regain control of Chelsea by 2031 if he wins his legal battle regarding the ownership of the club. He has formally accused the UK government of forcing him into a predatory sale. #CFC

Based on the independent commission's findings of systematic breaches over nine years involving over £900m in inflated revenues via sham deals plus non-cooperation, a multi-year points deduction risking relegation plus a massive fine would be a proportionate sanction if the appeal fails.

The Premier League does not need City & the UK does not need the UAE's money. Neither is big enough to justify bending on the punishment coming down.
Every year the PL generates over £10 billion in economic output, is projected to add £33bn over the next three seasons & will pay roughly £4.4bn in tax. Three years of the Premier League alone exceeds the UAE's entire total commitment to the UK.
Broadcast, matchday, commercial & tourism dwarf anything City contribute & it is not close. £20-30bn from the UAE is about 1-1.5% of the UK’s £2.1 trillion foreign investment. That's barely a higher rate than Lord Pannick's against the Independent Commission.
Don’t forget who needs who. The UAE needed City as a sportswashing vehicle. They need the Premier League & the UK, far more than either needs them.
🚨 𝐍𝐄𝐖: Michael Olise could ask for a release clause to be included in a new Bayern Munich contract.
Bayern normally do not like release clauses, but the feeling at the club is that any clause would have to be worth at least €200 million.
Olise currently earns around €14M per year, while Bayern’s top earners are closer to €25M.

🚨 OFFICIAL: UEFA statement on Negreira case.
“UEFA can confirm that it has received from Real Madrid CF a substantial amount of documents related to the ongoing investigation into FC Barcelona in the matter involving Negreira, former vice-president of the Technical Committee of Referees of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (the so-called "Negreira case").
UEFA's Ethics and Disciplinary Inspectors have also received these latest documents, which they will assess as part of their ongoing review of the case.”
Back in 2014, there was a man who was already aware of the irregularities involving Manchester City. That man now runs FIFA. The infamous Gianni Infantino, then UEFA General Secretary, abused his authority, shared confidential documents and, in short, outmanoeuvred the Investigatory Chamber, doing everything in his power to ensure that both Manchester City and PSG would merely receive a fine, avoiding a deeper investigation that could have led to a Champions League ban. All of these details were also revealed through Football Leaks.
Given his actions as UEFA General Secretary and, more recently, as FIFA President, I can only say, in my humble opinion, that Gianni Infantino has become a cancer on football and should have no place in the future of the game.
🗣️ Statement from Independent Football Regulator Chair David Kogan on #MCFC: “The independent commission’s decision raises serious issues.
“The IFR has powers to assess the suitability of owners, directors and executives and we will use these powers where appropriate, in the interests of protecting the sustainability, honesty and integrity of English football where there is clear evidence of wrongdoing by individuals.
“This includes taking account of findings made by the Leagues. However, as the proceedings remain ongoing between Manchester City and the Premier League we will await further developments.
“We hope it can be resolved quickly for the sake of fans. For now, we have no further comment.”
🚨 | One of the biggest questions for #ManCity now is this:
In 2020, CAS found UEFA had not proved that ADUG owner funding was disguised as Etihad sponsorship revenue. Etihad’s accounts had been audited by firms including Deloitte/KPMG, while City also relied on forensic financial evidence and witness testimony.
CAS said the evidence did not warrant the conclusion that City had secretly routed owner money through Etihad.
The Premier League Commission has now reached the opposite conclusion on the wider sponsorship issue.
That clash matters. City will point to the same kind of hard financial evidence — audited accounts, bank records, transfer trails and witnesses — and argue the money was genuine sponsorship revenue, not disguised owner funding.
'Combined, across previously reported equity and disguised sponsorship payments detailed today, City received £2.209bn in owner funding during first 10 years under Abu Dhabi ownership.'
Next highest: £367m (Chelsea)
