@EnarialP @SamR1002 @psymonbee @rcolvile You’re not engaging with the point. There’s a significant percentage of parents and children that don’t want the Michaela approach and won’t adhere to it. Michaela succeeds as it doesn’t have to teach those children.

@SamR1002 @EnarialP @psymonbee @rcolvile They have a tiny cohort of families that fully buy into the approach. At open evenings they tell parents to go elsewhere if they aren’t fully committed. That’s a luxury not afforded most high schools.

Many towns have only high school, where every child has to go. When a similar approach has been tried in these towns it has been nowhere near as successful.

Ipswich’s last premier league wage bill was £77m.

Arsenal’s is £190m for comparison.

Do you think it’s ok if 20,000 lessons are missed in an academic year due to children being in reflection? With, on average, each child missing 17 lessons or more than 3 full days of learning?
