btw, iran's team are not allowed to stay in the u.s. and will need to travel to mexico after each game. the exhaustion for the players is completely insane & unfair.
curse be upon the upon the u.s. and fifa.
you guys have this “ag shame, nunus” approach when speaking about the plight of the poor that i find a bit condescending. treating poor people as incapable of political thought is patronising, but treating them as incapable of being wrong is also patronising.
BREAKING: Spain football star Yamal may not be at start of Spain’s World Cup match due to US Visa issues.

You allowed this to happen for too long. From taxi drivers deciding that e-hailing drivers, friends and relatives could not transport people, to this. Videos of non-state actors "enforcing" their jungle law on South African streets have been circulating for so long. These actors were proud of their "law enforcement" and actually recorded it. You and your government were spectators. It is a sign that you were absent or too scared to face the backlash should you act against South Africans breaking the law. It doesn't matter how valid grievances are, NO STATE should quietly watch a parallel state emerge, with non-state actors deciding who belongs snd who doesn't, who must live or die. Your government, led by you, did that.
It's legal in Germany. You will see 16 year old kids with cases of beer in the park..you go back the next day the park is spotless. The answer is not in more laws. It lies in figuring out how to get our people to value keeping our spaces clean...?
Public consumption of alcohol is illegal in SA. Everybody does it because the police decided it's a petty crime that doesnt need law enforcement. Our streets, pavements, highways are littered with broken bottles because inebriates chuck their empties without a care in the world.
Cape Town is a South African city and belongs to Black South Africans as much as Nelspruit, Johannesburg and Mafikeng. Please stop referring it to as mini Europe. Not even as a joke.
Capitalism’s individualism isn’t about freedom, it’s about isolation.
Isolated workers can’t organize. Isolated communities can’t resist. Isolated nations can’t refuse IMF terms.
Individualism is the tool that makes extraction possible.
Unpopular opinion, but if you’re not an expert on a subject, your opinions on it really do carry less weight than those of experts. It’s not indoctrination or elitism. It’s simply that you don’t know as much about the subject as they do.
