🔊 An update from Bob Brown outside the courthouse today after he was found guilty for peacefully defending Swift Parrot habitat. #EndNativeForestLogging#politas
⚠️Forest defenders set off flares in powerful protest in Hobart against the incineration of native forests in state-sanctioned logging burns. These fires damage the climate, kill wildlife and harm human health.

Wishing @ZSLconservation a very happy 10th anniversary of the Nepal office. Biodiversity conservation has been made better with support from @OfficialZSL As a team we accomplished a lot, and like to remember @gitanjalib and @pathfinder_tek for their contribution & support.
@PantheraCats and @ZSLconservation team working in Parsa National Park, 2014-15. We jointly supported capacity building to improve park management with @DNPWC_Nepal and @NTNCNepal The Park has significantly progressed from where it was in terms of management. Conservation works!
Nepal media have discussed the future of tigers, following remarks from persons who we listen to. My book Paatebagh (2019) has this fictional sketch of a tiger visiting an astrologer to find out its future! Hope conservationists will stay strong to understand tiger's sentiments!
Happy Global Tiger Day🙏
A beautiful creature of Mother Earth, a symbol of healthy ecosystems, we do not have choices except to conserve the species and develop the tiger protected areas as a part of tourism products.

Pleased to see our research on improving tiger connectivity in the Terai Arc Landscape featured on @MongabayOrg. We hope that our findings will help to inform conservation efforts and ensure the long-term survival of this iconic species @WorshipNature@AChauvenet@Griffith_SciEnv
ZSL started working in Parsa National Park since 2014. Our team of dedicated staff at Parsa have assisted government leadership to increase 🐅numbers from 7 to 41 in less than a decade. A remarkable recovery path 😀🙏 @ZSLconservation@PantheraCats@ConserveWildCat@DNPWC_Nepal
Kothiaghat Bridge, Karnali River is in a true sense a #wildlifefriendly infrastructure. Whether it was purposely built or not but the design is certainly wildlife movement friendly. Highway sections that pass important wildlife corridors should follow this design all over Nepal!
3rd Nan'l #WCCB 3-day workshop in progress at #Bardia ! 40+ degree heat outside and expecting an equally heated discussion inside this air-conditioned hall 😀🙏🌿🇳🇵 #NTNC#DNPWC@ghanagrg@MaheshwarDhaka1
Suklaphanta wintering populations of this globally threatened species, White-necked Bushchat, have been a global stronghold. The wintering population has declined in recent years. Small but important, awaits global review on its status.
2nd International Conference, Dhole Working Group, Canid Specialist Group @WildCanids taking place @NTNCBCC Sauraha, #Chitwan#Nepal. Participants from 13 countries for 3 days' discussion paving way forward for Dhole conservation. Our very best wishes to all🙏🇳🇵🌿
