@dogwoodblooms I’ll piggyback on the ghost tour. I lived there for a while and it’s shunned by the locals but you learn so much about the area that way. Try to get on the tour with rainbow row as you’ll go by a lot of the filming locations for The Patriot.
@uiyui_jk Come to the old north state for the jobs: North Carolina (growing in batteries, pharma, food, and components from Japan)
Toyota battery manufacturing, , Ajinomoto, Nipro Medical,Morinaga America Foods, Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies
YKK, ASMO, Bridgestone/Firestone, etc.
@MLBRaleigh@NC_Governor If there was a potential owner interested in an MLB franchise for Charlotte it would be a slam dunk for MLB to choose NC. Charlotte residents overwhelmingly will not support this team. SC's potential fan base is part of this equation too and selecting Raleigh kills that dead.
@dogwoodblooms Ask this: how has the power demand for data centers affected other business and corporations that want to work in NC? Has it extended wait times for power upgrades? My corporate banker says it’s the most common reason they’re seeing in Charlotte for cancelled projects i.e. power
@dogwoodblooms There is a missing factor that most people aren’t seeing that unfortunately I had to deal with in regards to data centers. There are a LOT of spec data centers being built and the utility companies, specifically Duke Energy, must guarantee capacity to them even if it’s empty.
@dogwoodblooms A 1000 student welding, HVAC, and electrician college wanted to come to Charlotte and with that wait time they fled to SC. It would have been a boom to Charlotte in an area where it’s low income and the need for these positions is high in the city.
@dogwoodblooms This has led to long wait times for power upgrades in Charlotte where I have commercial property. The west side of Charlotte has outdated feeder lines that are due for an upgrade. It will be at least 3 years for those projects now to be finished.
@JoeBrunoWSOC9 Why is it that North Carolina operated for most of its history without toll lanes, but now the state which can boast the city with the most growth in the USA can’t afford to build roads without them?
Another day on the express lanes that @NCDOT loves to force upon us. These temporary barriers need to go and these drivers that go around them need to be held accountable. Great save by the @kia though. @JoeBrunoWSOC9
