day6's killing voice is a profound testament to the viewers why an idol company, like jype, risked everything, changed their policies and started their FIRST ever band out of sungjin only because they couldn't let go of this man's powerful and solid vocals
Sungjin once wrote a poem for youngk's birthday
"just one day out of 365 days, Birthday"

and youngk today share the same things
🦊 birthday really do feel special
🦊 it come around every year, but out of 365 days, theres only one day that belongs to you
🦊 on that day, u get to be the main character in this hectic world, even if just for a moment
i love movies where literally nothing happens but by the end you feel like you've experienced everything.

as long as you keep showing up, the results won’t have a choice. just keep showing up. day in, day out cause some of the biggest changes in your life will happen slowly before they happen all at once. even when it feels repetitive. even when it feels boring. even when you feel like you’re putting in effort and getting nothing back yet. keep showing up. keep doing the work. keep trusting that every small thing you do is adding up somewhere. life rewards the people who stay consistent long enough for the results to finally catch up.
I wish we could go back in time where ai generated images never existed. I miss being able to like any artwork or post that I see, without worrying if it's ai or not. I miss it so much.
read more books. read to escape reality. read to understand reality. read to challenge what you believe. read to think better. read to write better. read to argue better. read to know yourself. read to build something. a single book can completely rewire your brain.

i wish more people allowed themselves (or were allowed!) to lean into the absurdities in everyday life. because everyday life IS often absurd. and i think one of poetry's functions is to encourage us, embolden us to embrace or at least recognize absurdity a bit (or a lot!) more.
I love DAY6 for always make it clear abt their personal act and boundaries. They already did since day 1 and the fact they actually slowly opening little by little to us, sharing their personal stories abt family and friends - that’s huge upgrade comparing to before.
