rudderless between the path and pathology | mostly musing on mind and meditation

@Geekerella @oldbookishplace I typed this quickly to sound illiterate for dramatic effect

[pathology absorber (formerly projector) - back IRL @pathprojector]

@Geekerella @oldbookishplace Genuine question: what do you do with those books you keep. Do you reread them? Are they non fiction you look up things in?

I like tor read but I dont think I’ve actually ever made use of this books I’ve kept

anyone else get that feeling of XP waste when you have 50% usage limits left and the rest of your week is booked with social stuff?

I have to say my experience of the homeless ppl in sf has been delightful so far

just saw a guy making fart noises with his mouth and shouting “who did that?!”

that’s the sort of Sesame Street psychosis you can bring the kids to

[pathology absorber (formerly projector) - back IRL @pathprojector]

@dismaien well maybe it’s for the better. would’ve felt like a criminal offense to murder you after posting this

[pathology absorber (formerly projector) - back IRL @pathprojector]

@dismaien before I answer that question: you don’t happen to have 10 to 20 million from a prior marriage lying around do you?

[pathology absorber (formerly projector) - back IRL @pathprojector]

@dismaien Dang

@KirkegaardEmil Or rephrased if you assume that first 2 colums are seeded: within a bg color group 3rd column takes the shape of 1st col and fg color of 2nd column

[pathology absorber (formerly projector) - back IRL @pathprojector]

@KirkegaardEmil B seems correct with the rule three groups formed by bg color (or shift right 1 and wrap) have col 1 and col 3 same shape, and col 2 and col 2 same fg color with the other one different

Sounds like there should be a simpler rule though

[pathology absorber (formerly projector) - back IRL @pathprojector]

@yishan Wow this is very good actually

[pathology absorber (formerly projector) - back IRL @pathprojector]

@nosilverv I think you can probably find a critical paper arguing this

[pathology absorber (formerly projector) - back IRL @pathprojector]

@nosilverv late stage capitalism == trauma

[pathology absorber (formerly projector) - back IRL @pathprojector]

@nadiainthought > under what conditions does unconditional love and respect happen?

Yeah that’s a fun threadmill

[pathology absorber (formerly projector) - back IRL @pathprojector]

I don’t even want to think about this, but the balance in the force is disturbed and now I need to understand wtf got into everyone or update my entire world model and it’s kinda jarring

[pathology absorber (formerly projector) - back IRL @pathprojector]

If anyone builds it (global coordination), everyone dies (the normal way, but in a totalitarian hellscape)

[pathology absorber (formerly projector) - back IRL @pathprojector]

I think this must be at the core of it as or something. The thing isn’t about the thing, clearly

@JGT2799 @AgustinLebron3 But this pretty much describes the environment frontier companies operate in though?

We want powerfully and safe ai, reward companies only for powerful ai, while safety is only verified through voluntary self reporting

We don’t even pretend to have a sandbox
