Chasing someone to prove your worth or to keep them around is a trauma response, not love. You don't have to beg or force anything that's genuinely meant for you. The right person will bring you peace, not confusion. Healing really begins the moment you stop needing to be chosen and start choosing yourself. And when you finally outgrow that version of you, the one who tolerated less, it hits different. Their words no longer move you. Their actions don't shake you. You've found the strength to want more, to expect more. The thought of settling disgusts you, and although you're scared, you're ready for the life you deserve. It's everything!
