Before you head to the airport:
Print your boarding pass
Turn off Face ID / fingerprint unlock
Delete your social media apps
Airplane mode
Turn your phone off and put it away
A man in a hot air balloon realized he was lost. He lowered his altitude, spotted a woman in a boat below and shouted to her:
“Excuse me, can you help me?
I promised a friend I’d meet him an hour ago, but I don’t know where I am.”
The woman consulted her portable GPS and shouted back, “You’re in a hot air balloon approximately 30 feet above ground elevation of 2,346 feet above sea level. You’re at 31 degrees, 14.97 minutes north latitude and 100 degrees, 49.09 minutes west longitude."
The man rolled his eyes and yelled, “You must be a Democrat."
“I am,” replied the woman. “How did you know?”
“Well,” answered the balloonist, “everything you told me is technically correct. But I have no idea what to do with your information. Frankly, you haven’t been much help to me.”
The woman smiled and yelled, “You must be a Republican.”
“I am,” shouted the balloonist. “How did you know?”
“Well,” said the woman, “You don’t know where you are or where you’re going. You’ve risen to where you are thanks to a large quantity of hot air. You made a promise you have no idea how to keep and you expect me to solve your problem. You’re in exactly the same position you were in before we met, but somehow now it’s all my fault.”
ICE detain mother at airport—traveling with young daughter.
First reported kidnapping at airport since Trump ordered ICE agents to report—refuse to show ID.
"I don't know who you are!" witness yells.
"You could be someone kidnapping her!"
Agent continue to refuse to show ID until bystanders agree they should call police to report a kidnapping.
Incident occurred at the San Francisco International Airport Gate E2 on March 22, 2026, at 10pm. #DemsUnited
It’s crystal clear now that Trump has lost control of this war. He badly misjudged Iran’s ability to retaliate. The region is on fire.
1/ I’m going to explain to you in this🧵what I’ve learned - in part from closed door briefings - about the four biggest current crises.
@DavidAFrench Over years, including during the first Trump presidency, provisions were made to protect civilians in areas targeted for military strikes. The second Trump admin fired most of those people but could not shut down the legislatively required function. https://t.co/1Ech6vDZuw
Horrifying. We need to know exactly how this happened. Again, I do not believe for a second that this was intentional, but a terrible terrible mistake was made. We very much need to know if any policy changes contributed to it.
@HasanKhxnx I am not suicidal. I eat healthy food. The brakes on my car and truck are in good shape. I practice good trigger discipline and never point a gun at anyone, including myself. There are no deep pools of water on my farm and I’m a pretty good swimmer.
This clearly constitutes voter suppression. Republicans do not want you to vote; otherwise, they wouldn't persist in increasing voting restrictions. Stop fabricating nonexistent issues, such as voting fraud. #DemsUnited#HandsOffHerVote
I testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee. I discussed the largest fraud in the history of the US immigration system perpetrated by DHS and the State Department. Even Republicans on the Committee were shocked by what this administration is doing to legal immigrants!
Brandi Carlile's accompaniment for "America the Beautiful" before the game last night was SistaStrings. The duo, Chauntee and Monique Ross, played another American anthem, "Lift Every Voice and Sing," on the Library's Stradivarius instruments in 2024.
Here's a clip of that impromptu performance. ⬇️
Puerto Rico is a perfect example of why any country should resist becoming a US territory. No viable path to statehood, always starved of resources and treated like an inconvenient charity case, and a complete lack of awareness and respect.
Greenland’s fate would be much worse.
"Our nation is not a place — it never will be a place — where we all agree with one another, much less look like one another, or even come from a common culture. But we can live together as neighbors so long as we recognize one another’s inherent dignity and worth."

It's hard to resolve a shutdown when the fight is really about the president's refusal to accept the constitutional rules about who taxes and who spends. Latest in @TheAtlantic

Even if the East Wing were a wreck (which it wasn't) ... even if the proposed Trump ballroom were beautiful (which it isn't) ... the demolition would still be a scandal because it's financed by bribes.
Tapping the sign again:
"Because the proposed establishment is a departure from that generous policy, which, offering an Asylum to the persecuted and oppressed of every Nation and Religion, promised a lustre to our country, and an accession to the number of its citizens."
-James Madison, 1785
