@ConfusedCitize2@VoiceinEdmonton@country2_city@yegwave Liberal and ndp don’t bring it up negatively because it benefits them directly-the east and left has always leaned that way. Wealth redistribution is a cornerstone of their platforms
@ConfusedCitize2@VoiceinEdmonton@country2_city@yegwave But they swore up and down it wasn’t about money right. I don’t care for unions in general, I obviously feel for the teachers everyone deserves to get paid-but education is a fundamental public service and the strike was more self serving than anything. What would you have done
@ConfusedCitize2@VoiceinEdmonton@country2_city@yegwave Nah she suspended their right to strike further after a reasonable deal was offered. Things had to get moving along, too much was being twisted up. I don’t like how heavy handed it was either but what were the options
@ConfusedCitize2@VoiceinEdmonton@country2_city@yegwave To me Equalization isn’t really a liberal/conservative issue so much as it is an east/west issue. Historically the west is more conservative than the east maybe but the whole thing is preposterous in practice. It was a way to get the east to buy into a conservative govt maybe🤷♂️
