I don’t care for unions in general, I obviously feel for the teachers everyone deserves to get paid-but education is a fundamental public service and the strike was more self serving than anything. Historically the west is more conservative than the east maybe but the whole thing is preposterous in practice. It was a way to get the east to buy into a conservative govt maybe🤷‍♂️
