I teach this at an elementary level with Thankful And Thriving. Building Empathy is first level. Seeing yourself but also seeing others. Its so important for kids to be taught empathy. Parents have been great at teaching kids the "I am" statements but we must also see others❤️

The fight you are having is often not about the thing you are fighting about. Most of the time the disagreement, debate and argument is about the wounds you are carrying. In all kinds of business and personal relationships you have two people who bring their wounds into the relationship with them and a disagreement is actually an opportunity to heal your wounds. The key is to recognize this during the fight, call it out, expose it and see it as the perfect opportunity for two imperfect people to heal.
