Startup truths 101 :
SYSTEMS over GOALS
DISTRIBUTION over PRODUCT
PROBLEM over PRODUCT
DESIGN over CODE
SELLING FIRST over CREATING FIRST
ROI over BURN
The big lesson from AI is that everything is code. A slide deck is code. Design is code. That cool promo video? Code. Excel automation? Code. The universe? Probably made of code too.
We have information that Moonshot AI distilled Anthropic’s Fable for the development of its K3 model.
To do this they developed a sophisticated internal platform to conduct large scale distillation against U.S. models, allowing them to quickly switch between multiple methods of access to avoid detection. Moonshot AI has also acquired GB300-equipped servers and has accessed GB300s in Thailand, likely to train its AI models.
The United States strongly supports the free and fair development of AI, including a thriving competitive ecosystem that spans frontier models, specialized systems, open-source frameworks, and open-weight models. Legitimate AI distillation used to create smaller, more efficient models plays a vital role in this open innovation ecosystem. However, large-scale, covert industrial distillation aimed at stealing proprietary U.S. technology and undermining American research is unacceptable.
@shreyansalecha Most people don’t have the capability to know what actual “good work” is . Earlier they used to be fooled by consultants now they would be by AI .
@ujjawalasthana Outcome outcome outcome and outcome . Doesn’t matter if you complete your work in 2 or 20hrs . You should never be penalized for efficiency at all !
An initial startup idea can't usually be both grand and precise. In practice they're usually either grand and vague or precise and small. Precise and small is better. You know who your initial users are, and you expand outward. With grand and vague you can't even get started.
Think of startup sales as a doctor/patient relationship.
If you just walked into the doctor's office and they said "here take this prescription", you wouldn't trust it at all. They don't even know what problems you have yet!
Sales is the same. You are the doctor/expert that has to ask lots of questions to understand your customer's problems before you earn the right to show how your product can help.
(shoutout @ryanRneu for teaching this to many founders)
@dharmeshba We confuse selling to enterprises like selling to a large organisation at one time ! At the end you just need to sell to few decision makers who are humans and most of whom are on Insta !
