@kikuhughes@ala_apala i just read Displacement and I LOVED it. thank you for such a beautiful book and story. There's so much loss to us that didn't share a written or spoken language with our parents/grandparents. you did a great job bringing those feelings and reconnection to life. Thank you!
@publichealthOC I rec'd an email this a.m. to sign up for my vaccine spot, the link goes to a form that says not currently active. I did this within an hour of receiving the email. I tried to call but got no one & Monday is a holiday. The link is only good for 48 hours. HELP!
there are sooooo many things i love about being a youth librarian in a public library but there are some things that are annoying. just a little but enough to make me go hmmpppffff! #saturdaylibrarian
If a child cries or throws a tantrum whilst in the library when it quiet downs enough to hear you say, "every time you cry, everyone likes you a little less." they might not stop crying but it'll haunt them later, hopefully. #librarytip
if you come up to the information desk @ your local library asking for a dry erase marker for your tutoring job, then not get the one you borrowed last time and THEN get pouty, you should probably bring your own. #librarytip

@PLSanders Hi! I'm a youth librarian in Michigan. I have come across mentions of your blog - brycedontplay - a couple times. mainly in conjunction with library tours but it's private, which i understand, but if you see fit, i'd love to be able to read your blog. thank you!
@repdavetrott, the library community strongly urges House Leadership to honor their agreement for S. 3530. @SpeakerRyan and @GOPLeader, don't break your promise to your constituents and library patrons across the country. Pass this bill now.
@Peradventur3 @ksheawes@fhayesmccoy I don't see where Killian was condescending to her mother anywhere in her original post or even in her explanation and responses to this thread. At any rate, what she did do was find books that will hopefully appeal to both the child and the mother and that's awesome.
