Feb. 2, 1959. Buddy Holly's last show. 66 years ago tomorrow (at 1:00 a.m.), Buddy Holly's plane went down in a field near Clear Lake, Iowa. This is the last known photo of Buddy, taken 66 years ago today. That's Waylon Jennings playing bass in the background, over Buddy's right shoulder. Roughly 1.5 hours after this photo was taken, Buddy was gone. Here's Buddy's set list from that night. The last song he played, Brown Eyed Handsome Man, is a Chuck Berry tune.
