I mute all abusive trolls on sight, so don't bother!
@PolitlcsUK The new narrative from those justifying the programs, violence and destruction in both Southampton and Belfast is that the families were somehow coerced into making these statements. Apparently they can't think for themselves, the agitators know better!
Racist bigots online trying to portray anyone who opposes violence against innocent people as being somehow in support of unfettered immigration.
These people are charlatans.
The family of the victim of the Belfast knife attack, Stephen Ogilvie call for calm after riots erupt in the city. In a statement issued via their MLA, they say:
“We are completely devastated by the horrific attack on our loved one. This has been a massive shock to our whole family, and right now our only priority is being at his bedside and helping him recover.
“We are aware of the tensions and talk of protests following this incident. We want to make it absolutely clear that overnight unrest is not welcome, and peaceful protest is the only way forward.
"We have many migrants who make a deeply valuable contribution to our country, including in our healthcare system and hospitality sector, and we depend on them to make our country work. We do not want this terrible tragedy to be used to divide people or fuel hostility.”
@DPJHodges Yesterday, anyone at all who urged a bit of restraint with regard to the initial attack was roundly abused as an 'apologist' etc for what happened and the Tommy Robinson types were being hailed as the people responding correctly. Today we're seeing the consequences of all that.
Can someone explain to me how burning buses, torching people's homes, setting cars on fire and forcing families to flee their homes as they are attacked by a masked mob addresses the "concerns" people have?
Homes and property being set on fire in Belfast last night and Farage uses the expression 'rekindle'. Almost as maladroit as his comment - re Jo Cox- that "not a shot was fired" during the Brexit Referendum. All in all he's just not prime ministerial material is he?
@DPJHodges@EssexPR He's more interested in building up his profile and grift even further instead of just issuing a straight forward condemnation of the violence.
@ScouseJayne@DPJHodges Perhaps you could explain to me how setting buses on fire and attacking the homes of people who had nothing to do with the attack helps the victim? If you're going to respond to a point try to use some intelligence!
@RichardDawkins No evidence of terror in the political or ideological sense is what they mean. Obviously in the literal sense it certainly was terrifying to an extreme degree.
