Nigerian woman Habibat Salawudeen has finished a 144-hour Bible reading marathon in an effort to set a new Guinness World Record.
The six-day challenge, known as “144 Hours in the Word,” started on June 22 at the Novotel in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and concluded on June 29.
During the attempt, she read the Holy Bible aloud while strictly adhering to Guinness World Records rules, which permit only short rest periods.
Her effort is now pending official ratification from Guinness World Records.
The feat has received strong backing from Nigerians, many of whom have commended her faith, discipline, and endurance.
We will stick to the Data Prices reduction by the end of this year, but
Hon. Minister @samgeorgegh,
I came across your two posts—one from October 2019 when you were in opposition, and the other from February 2025 now that you're in office as Minister of Communications and Digitalization. The contrast between the two is striking.
In 2019, you strongly criticized the government for increasing telecom tariffs and described it as a scheme against the Ghanaian people. You held the view that government had the power to influence pricing and protect consumers. Fast forward to 2025, you now say the government cannot control prices and ask us to trust a process that seems to only lead to higher costs for the same Ghanaian people you once defended.
It feels like a classic case of political role reversal—where principles shift once power changes hands. What used to be "a scheme" is now “a process.” What changed, Honorable? Is it that the reality is different when you're in power, or were those earlier sentiments merely political rhetoric?
I ask this with all due respect, seeking clarity—not just as a citizen, but as someone who remembers your strong voice when you stood with the people.
Looking forward to your honest response.
Respectfully,
Samuel Yeboah (Tech In Twi)
