3) This means that from January 1 onwards, personal data transfers can continue to take place from the EU to the UK, and the clock will start ticking for the EU and UK administrations to work on a data transfer adequacy agreement before summer 2021.
(2) Two important conditions apply: 1. Within maximum 6 months of the entry into force of the Brexit agreement (the “specified period”), the EC adopts a data transfer “Adequacy Decision”
2. The UK keeps its current UK GDPR legislation and shall not change it without EU approval
