@Teal_Rock@ZachNagel7 He was drifting to it easily and was under it a full two seconds before it lands. Where the runners are positioned doesn't matter. If they were at the bags, a double play could be made. The umpire isn't taking into account where the runners are.
@Eason011@ZachNagel7 The infield fly is called when an infielder is in position to catch a pop up. It was called when the shortstop was camped under it. It doesn't need to be on the infield. Doesn't matter if the ball is then dropped. It's a clear correct call.
JJ Wetherholt impressed me, but not because of the HR or the Walk Off. Runner on 3rd and 1 out in the 1st, he doesn't try to get Lindor at the plate. Instead, takes the out at 1st, avoiding the big inning. Small thing I'm afraid a lot of fans don't pay attention to anymore.
@NFLFrascella That stat would assume that all batters and situations are exactly the same. Everything depends on many different variables and presenting it as if everything is equal is crazy. I feel baseball strategy is regressing due to over analytics.
