I am a life-long supporter of the Palestinian search for freedom and statehood , but this morning am feeling only utter revulsion, horror and depression at the press descriptions of yet more innocents massacred. No one, least of all children, should ever have to endure violence and fear, and the kind of atrocity carried out by Hamas is only going to intensify the ongoing oppression, dispossession and occupation, as well as provoking retaliatory waves of bombings and killings which are already leading to the deaths of countless more innocent children. Hamas has not only committed a barbaric outrage with its abominable ISIS-like tactics, I fear it has also done incalculable and lasting damage to the just cause of their own people, entrenched the hawks and haters and ethnic cleansers, and made the search for peace, justice and freedom more difficult than ever.

So this idea that I’m somehow the “Hollywood elite” and this guy who takes a shit in a gold toilet is somehow the man of the people is laughable.

People in Hollywood, for the most part, are people from the Midwest who moved to Hollywood to have a career. So this idea of “coastal elites” living in a bubble is ridiculous. Who lives in a bigger bubble?

He lives in a gold tower and has twelve people in his company. He doesn’t run a corporation of hundreds of thousands of people he employs and takes care of. He ran a company of twelve people!

When you direct a film you have seven different unions all wanting different things, you have to find consensus with all of them, and you have to get them moving in the same direction.

He’s never had to do any of that kind of stuff. I just look at it and I laugh when I see him say “Hollywood elite.” Hollywood elite? I don’t have a star on Hollywood Boulevard, Donald Trump has a star on Hollywood Boulevard! Fuck you!"

After she lost in 2016, Hillary Clinton said that she believed that Russian interference in an effort to elect Donald Trump had impacted the outcome of the election.

She didn’t try to obstruct the official proceedings of the joint session of Congress in which the electoral votes were counted to certify Trump as the official winner.
She didn’t engage in a weeks-long plot to put pressure on state legislators and election officials to change electoral votes from Trump to Clinton.
She didn’t help organize fake slates of pro-Clinton electors to be sent to Congress.
She didn’t incite a violent attack on our Capitol.
And she didn’t attempt to use the Justice Department to conduct bogus election-fraud investigations to boost her fake electors’ scheme.

She shared her assessments, which have consistently been supported with facts and accepted her loss.
And she went for a walk in the woods.

And that is why she was never charged with any crimes. That is why we aren’t laughing at HER mugshot right now.

At this point, it’s an exercise in futility to get Ma & Pa “Lock Her Up” MAGA to understand the difference between free speech and election interference. The truth is about as useful to them as a no-cousin dating policy & the measles vaccine.

But it doesn’t make it any less true.
