@SHPbeds The Windsor Chapter, after a little more than two years, recently installed our 500th bed.
Thank you to all of our community volunteers, as well as construction students from Holy Names, St Joe’s, & Catholic Central High Schools for putting kids in their own beds!
@dougpete 3/ I fear the disparities, worldwide, would deepen, creating elitist societies once again. Education is the only thing that can level the playing field. Hopefully, I’m wrong and in 25 yrs, there is an equal future for everyone.
@dougpete 2/ accessing simple VR tech in most schools was/is sparse if available at all, inner city schools even worse. The education model and funding has to completely change to match tech growth, and this institution has been loathe to grow out of the Industrial Revolution.
@alicekeeler If you consider it ‘busy work’, then you’ve missed the point, missed the value, missed the focus it brings to everything, missed the meaning, probably were marking during the PD, and ultimately missed the boat.
@winstarjanisse @TheWindsorStar@winstarcaton I so miss those days when you covered local and high school sports! Loved working with you over the years Mary!
@ONeducation 2/2 Existing schools can’t be retrofitted with new construction or auto shops or culinary spaces. There is a physical limitation to how many classes can be offered. Most of theses courses are oversubscribed as is. Great idea to have all kids take tech, but….
@ONeducation Awesome idea! However, not enough shop, auto, culinary, computer classrooms, or teachers, for kids who already want those courses and are forced into other areas. Gotta solve that first or senior kids will be squeezed out. 1/2
@BreakawayGaming Holy Names thanks you once again for your support enabling us to purchase new uniforms for the Girls’ Soccer Team! So nice to finally get back out there in new duds!
