@WilliamsRuto. Dear Sir. You might not recall me but I was the KANU candidate for Mwingi North in 2002. I'm pleading with you to listen to Kenyans. Crude oil prices have dropped by more than 25%. Please pass this benefit to Kenyans in the next review cycle. Patrick Mutemi Sau
@OkiyaOmtatah. Good morning sir. I consider you as my ombudsman. I want to draw your attention to the practice by governors to use county resources to pay lawyers in cases where they are sued in their individual capacities. Good examples are in election petition and impeachment
@NdindiNyoro. I agree that Kenya should get maximum value for it's assets, and that open bidding is one way of achieving that. However, it appears like you are suffering from selective amnesia. Telkom, which is 100% owned by the govt, was sold to 'foreigners ' without open bids
Today, we gave our considered opinion and recommendations to the Joint Committee on Finance & National Planning together with the Committee on Public Debt and Privatisation on the Proposed sale of 15% GoK stake in Safaricom PLC.
Kenya must have a goal of getting the most optimal value out of our Public assets. The current transaction is buyer driven and they are taking advantage of Kenya. Block sales even of listed companies are not based on Market Pricemand it is naive for Kenya to be cornered to give out our most priced asset for a song.
The transaction happening between Diageo and Japanese Asahi cements that proposition. The share is currently trading at Ksh 244 but they are transacting at Ksh 590 per share. Rea Vipingo, Amson & Bamburi and many others are examples that are recent.
The Government should open the bid to International players and get the best value for our Country, Kenya.
We commend the Committee led by Hon Shurie Abdi Omar and Hon Kuria Kimani for the cordial discussion we had. We still have a chance to avert the imminent loss of value & GoK must do the right thing.
We are African and Africa is our Business..

The railway line is in kitale. The oil pipeline is in Eldoret. You just need to extend them to Turkana. Lapsset is a long-term project with very serious funding challenges
Before Kenya rushes into oil drilling, we need to get our priorities right. Starting production without proper transport infrastructureโespecially a direct railway lineโcould turn a promising project into a logistical nightmare. Moving 600 trucks a day is not easy with this kind of dilapidated transport system. Our roads can barely handle existing traffic; overloading them with oil transport will only lead to congestion, damage, and delays.
The field development plan feels rushed. Our transport systems are struggling as it is; adding oil logistics will only expose deeper problems. Instead of forcing everything through the only road to Turkana, we should first complete the LAPSSET Corridor to provide a sustainable, long-term solution. Yes, we need the revenue, but not at the cost of chaos, wastage, and poor planning.
Letโs slow down, plan properly, and build the foundation first. Oil can wait a year or twoโour future shouldnโt be built on shortcuts.
We were on the streets because of The cost of living now Azimio has agreed to have talks with Kenya kwanza but guess what, Finance Act 2023 and the cost of living is not part of the Agenda. ex-Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo to guide talks. I think Kenyans we are fools!!!

Question from my DMs
"I need your advice
I get around 100k net after taxes....is it a good idea to take a loan and buy a car?"
What do you think? Let's help our brother
The Finance Bill proposes to change definition of a 'person' in the Income Tax Act to include relatives. Must be an error, otherwise it will be unconstitutional. Tax obligations & liabilities of a person cannot be transferred to an individual. @StateHouseKenya@KENYAPARLIAMENT
Again, Minister for Agriculture Mithika Linturi should be FIRED for MISLEADING and LYING to the President that the cost of UNGA is KES 159! In fact, on April 14, 2023, a ship carrying 48,000 tons of white maize docked at the Port of Mombasa! What happened to this maize?
Nor the ESTEEM of the Brazilian Supreme Court, but at least she can order the Registrar of the Supreme Court to highlight the paragraphs in the judgment of the Court that addresses the server and the processes and procedures that informed it. @Kenyajudiciary
Kenya Must be fixed.
Unyoked from the stranglehold of dynasties who have for so long taken captive every sector of our economy.
Taxes is done.
Next is exploitative Power Purchase agreements with silly clauses on first line of load & demurrage.
Parliament will do the needful.
