I have seen too many “schemes” #LTN or other that have been based on emotion rather than fact - resulting in waste (time money and resource). These proposals fall into this category.

Of course there will be a period of “consultation”, but let’s start with plans that are needed, workable and understood.

@EalingCouncil @BassamMahfouz The team who work our recycling are hard working and polite and thoughtful. We value the work they do. Whether our councillors care is not obvious.

@EalingCouncil @BassamMahfouz This is what the budget should cover - spending our Council Tax on services which affect local residents who fund the Council. Whether “lifting the wages” of those who work tirelessly on street cleaning and recycling will change the effectiveness of services is not clear.
