Another year of poor ITT recruitment is on the cards, with 11 out of 17 subjects below target, and geography and primary also likely to be below. Bursaries and international recruitment propping some subjects up a little, but generally weak like last year

@SchoolsWeek However,this is 1 scheme I think does have some positivity. 1) Giving some much needed funding to an excellent cause &focus on the skills these young people have. 2) Helping raise the profile of a great job to the sort of people we actually would like to see in the profession
@SchoolsWeek Scouts do however offer everything that is being squeezed out of schools in terms of long term employability… leadership skills, team skills, resilience… I think the problem that will occur is-scouts will be offered far more money in other vocations…and a work life balance….
