Following the progress we showed in the previous update regarding unit movement and responsiveness, we've been focusing on how melee units maintain composure under pressure to ensure tactical positioning feels deliberate.
Our Current Progress: Units set to "Hold" now wait to be engaged instead of auto-charging. Formation discipline has been refined, reducing animation displacement and preventing flanks from collapsing.
The result is a more stable, readable frontline. This reflects where the system stands today as we continue refining combat at scale⚔️
Here is an early look at one of our UI design concepts, this time focused on the battle planning phase, which you’ll see every time you prepare for a fight. ⚔️
This is also where you’ll get a first look at the battlefield you’re about to enter, with the game placing you into a specific part of a larger battlefield depending on the size and composition of the army you’re bringing. Here you plan your approach, use the terrain to your advantage, and give your first orders before the battle unfolds.
