Conservatives are disappointed that the United States has chosen to impose further unjustified tariffs on Canada. They threaten the jobs and livelihoods of families right across our country.

Canadians must stand united to defend our country against these unfair attacks on our jobs and businesses. Canada cannot accept one-sided tariffs that will deindustrialize our country. Nor can we accept a bad deal. Instead, we must continue the fight for tariff-free trade. Here’s my plan to get people the treatment and recovery support they deserve.

When addiction becomes so severe that someone can no longer make important life decisions on their own and is at serious risk of harm, compassion means getting them the help they need.

We can start by taking three important steps:

✅ Call on the province to introduce a mandatory treatment law for the most severe cases
✅ Fight for Toronto's full share of new residential treatment, withdrawal management and supportive housing beds
✅ Commit to at least 100 recovery house beds in Toronto

We cannot declare ourselves out of a 72-day wait for treatment. We need to act today to build the resources our city needs.

That's how we help people get better, and that's how we give parks back to families and make our city feel safe again.
