At Shopify DotDev, I tried a tiny word-of-mouth experiment.

I designed two coasters with QR codes and left about 50 of them around the conference lounges.

It mostly worked. With one very funny flaw. 👇

The flaw: I made coasters that were too good at being coasters. 😆

People noticed them. Picked them up. Then put their drinks on them.

Small honest numbers: 32 scans during the conference. More than half of the people who opened a story scrolled it to the end.
