John Harbaugh and the Giants are working to finalize an agreement to make him New York’s next head coach and, barring a setback, a deal is expected, multiple sources tell ESPN.

The deal is not final and contract numbers still are being negotiated. “There still is a lot to work through,” one source said.

But barring any setbacks, Harbaugh is ready to accept the Giants’ deal and the Giants are expected to hire him as soon as possible, per sources.

Venezuela Out of Options

After the seizure of a third Venezuelan oil tanker by the United States, the economic strangulation strategy against the Maduro government is intensifying.

Maduro had hoped for a land invasion that would at least give him a chance to wage guerrilla warfare, but it now appears he will face his greatest pressure from a lack of resources to keep the Venezuelan state functioning.

He lacks sufficient weapons to inflict meaningful damage on the U.S. fleet in the Caribbean.
This week, Iran offered help and began discussions on the Caribbean issue.

However, there is effectively nothing Iran can do. Although Iran possesses weapons as long-range anti-ship missiles, anti-drone systems, and others, these would have needed to be installed months ago and were not.

Ultimately, no one can solve Venezuela’s problems except Trump himself.
